The product range consists of instruments such as Semi Auto Chemistry Analyzers, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, Microprocessor based Flame Photometer, Microprocessor based pH Meter, Microprocessor based Conductivity Meter, TDS Meter, Microprocessor based Dissolved Oxygen Meter, Photo Colorimeter, Turbidity Meter, Nephelometer, Microprocessor based Karl Fischer Titrimeter, Potentiometer Titrators, Water & Soil Analysis Kit, Drug Infusion Pump, Temperature measurement instruments etc.

The instruments are being used all over in industrial, educational, food & beverage, water & waste water, pharmaceutical and bio-medical labs over a decade.

Promoters of EI products are Gp. Capt. SD Gupta (VSM) Retd & Sh.V.K Gupta, Msc. Engg.

Gp. Capt. S D Gupta VSM (Retd)  Bcom LLB ICWAI CA (Inter) is  highly qualified officer retired from IAF after rendering more than 30 years of service.  His experience in the field of finance, management, organisation and marketing has made this industry a tremendous success. 

Mr. V.K. Gupta  Msc. Engg. (Electronics & Communication) is also highly qualified & experienced Scientist who has served for more than 20 years in CSIO, Chandigarh.(CSIR). His R&D experience  in CSIO and 15 years in design, development & successful production of this big range of Scientific instruments has made this industry a tremendous success.

EI has a strength of about 100 qualified, experienced, Technical, Managerial and  Sales staff

You may be aware that about 2 years ago, the then Prime Minister of India, Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpai, visited Himachal Pradesh and issued a lot of concessions in the form of exemption of Excise Duty and reduction in Central Sales Tax rates to the industry in Himachal Pradesh.  Himachal Pradesh is very close to our place Panchkula and Chandigarh.  To take advantage of the benefits approved by  the Govt, we started an industry at Parwanoo (H.P) in the name of EI Products.  As a result, we were not required to charge excise duty which was approximately 16% on scientific Lab instruments.  Similarly, the Sales Tax which is applicable @ 4% on Central Sales was reduced to 1% for supply from H.P. So the govt offered nearly 20% concession to industry in H.P, as compared to similar industries situated elsewhere. We are glad to inform you that all the benefits approved by the Govt were passed on to our esteemed customers both dealers and the end users by us.

We have learnt that part of these benefits are retained by our esteemed dealers as an additional rate of profit.  The rest of the benefits are being passed to the end users which has lowered the cost of our products as compared to similar products available from other companies.  This has resulted in substantial increase in sale of EI brand instruments.

We are sure, you are aware that in India there are very few reputed companies who manufacture scientific laboratory instruments of high quality.  However, we have learnt that most of these industries take normally  1-2months for their supplies.  We are pleased to inform you that our supplies of these instruments are exceptionally prompt.  In most of the cases, we dispatch the instruments within 1-2 days after receipt of the order.  We have earned a reputation for our prompt supplies.  This has been possible because of better management control on procurement of raw material, ensuring adequate production of all types of instruments in time and keeping substantial stock of finished goods.  In many cases, our dealers promise to their customers, the supply of instruments within 48 hours when they don't have ready stock.  We ensure that their commitments are honored.

AFTER SALES SERVICES

We are very keen that the end users of our instruments should be fully satisfied with the quality and performance of our products.  For this purpose, we ensure timely after sales services to all the end users of our products.  Many of our dealers have sent their Service Engineers to our factory for training on After Sales Services.

Besides this, our Service Engineers visit all our dealers at least once in a month to sort out the problems of their customers, if any.  As a result, the users of EI brand instruments are fully satisfied with the quality of the instruments and our "After Sales Services". They have been recommending to their known friends for use of EI Instruments.  This has resulted in substantial increase in demand of EI Products.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT (R&D)

We are pleased to inform you that all products manufactured by our company have been  developed by our own R&D department.  We have got a most modern in house R&D Lab and a R&D team which is continuously engaged in development of new products and improvement in the existing ones. As a result, we have been adding 2-3 instruments every year to our range of products.  The type of instruments manufactured by us will be explained to you shortly in my subsequent talk.

QUALITY CONTROL OF INSTRUMENTS

We would like to bring to your kind notice, that all instruments manufactured by our company are checked at various stages of manufacturing, to ensure their quality is maintained.  We have got Quality control department who has been assigned a job to check the instruments for all parameters i.e assembly, testing, performance of the instruments, their proper out look and their packing.  In case of even a minor defect in the instrument, the same is returned to work shop for rectification.  We follow very strict guidelines for quality management of our instruments.

You may be aware that our factory at Parwanoo is an ISO 9001-2000 certified company.  Therefore, we ensure that procedures for quality production are well maintained by the company.
